Brian Hallman is experienced in many fields of music including, Rock, Pop, Blues, Broadway, Big Band, Classical, and specializing in Jazz: (theory, voicings, improvisation). He studied privately with Alex Gergar in all areas of music. From1989-1995 he studied privately with Frank Dibussolo in all areas of Jazz. From 1995-present he mainly performs solo piano and teaches to all ages from 5 on up.
Brian has performed with “Totentanz” (playing hard rock to heavy metal and performing in night clubs and private parties throughout the East Coast area), “Voyage” (playing all styles of music and venues throughout the Lehigh Valley including nightclubs, weddings, country clubs, and private parties, “Elegance” (playing all eras of music from 1940’s to 1990’s and venues throughout the Lehigh Valley including nightclubs, weddings, country clubs, wineries, and private parties.
In 1998 Brian played piano for Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Evita” at Act I theater in Allentown Pa. He played keyboards and synthesizers for the Who’s “Tommy” at the Civic theater on 19th street in Allentown Pa., performed Jazz vocal and piano duets with Roberta Meek throughout the Lehigh Valley including bookstores, coffee shops, art galleries, country clubs and private parties
From 1990-present Brian has performed solo piano throughout the East Coast area and playing many venues including weddings, country clubs, nightclubs, cafes, bookstores, coffee shops and private parties.
I welcome all ages from 5 on up, teaching primarily out of John Bastien books:
- John Bastiens Primer level and Technique for 5-7 year olds
- John Bastiens Piano and Technical levels 1 through 5 for 7-11 year olds
- John Bastiens Beginner Performing and Technique levels 1 and 2 for ages 11 on up.
I will teach anything the student would like to learn as well as any style of music he or she desires to play.
